Maple shaker kitchen with full granite backsplash
A stripped-back kitchen rebuilt in warm maple shaker cabinetry, with granite carried from the countertop all the way up the wall.
White cabinetry remains the most requested finish we fit, and for good reason. It reflects the considerable Florida light instead of absorbing it, and it leaves the countertop free to be the thing you notice.
Here the marble carries the pattern, so the doors were kept deliberately plain. Every box is three quarter inch plywood, every door and drawer is soft close, and the drawers run on undermount slides, which is the specification we build to as standard rather than as an upgrade.
Because the palette is neutral, the room takes a change of hardware, paint or worktop styling later without needing the cabinetry touched. That matters more than it sounds when you intend to stay in the house.
